Andrew Holbrook will make his Octagon debut against Ramsey Nijem at UFC on Fox 16.
A native of Indianapolis, Holbrook is unbeaten in nine professional outings, with all of his triumphs coming by way of submission. The Indy Boxing & Grappling representative last competed on March 28, when he tapped Ramico Blackmon with a guillotine choke 4:58 into the opening round at Michiana Fight League 37. All but one of his victories have come inside of a round.
Nijem will be making his first Octagon appearance of 2015. “The Ultimate Fighter 13” finalist went 2-1 last year, defeating Justin Edwards and Beneil Dariush before suffering a technical knockout loss to Carlos Diego Ferreira in his most recent bout at UFC 177. Nijem owns a 5-4 overall mark within the Las Vegas-based promotion.
