Angela Lee Injured in Car Accident, Out of One Championship Title Defense on Nov. 24

One Championship flyweight titlist Angela Lee will not be defending her atomweight belt on Nov. 24 after getting into a car accident on Monday.

One Championship CEO revealed the news of Lee’s accident via Facebook. Lee was scheduled to face Mei Yamaguchi in the headliner of a One card in Singapore. According to the post, Lee fell asleep while driving to the gym and suffered a concussion, “some minor burns and a banged up body” after her vehicle flipped over five to six times.



Lee, 21, claimed the vacant 105-pound title with a five-round verdict over Yamaguchi at One Championship 42 “Ascent to Power” on May 6, 2016. She has since defended the crown with finished of Jenny Huang and Istela Nunes de Souza in her last two outings. Lee owns an 8-0 professional mark overall.
