Former UFC 155-pound champion Anthony Pettis will make his featherweight debut against Charles Oliveira when the promotion travels to Vancouver on Aug. 27.
The UFC’s Canadian branch confirmed both the bout and the event on Wednesday. The event, likely entitled UFC on Fox 21, will take place at the Rogers Arena and will also include a middleweight clash pitting Gareth McLellan against Alessio Di Chirico. The evening’s main card will air on the Fox Network.
After consecutive losses to Edson Barboza, Eddie Alvarez and Rafael dos Anjo, Pettis teased a move to 145 pounds earlier this month. “Showtime” is expected to work with nutritionist Mike Dolce to make the cut to featherweight. The former UFC and WEC champ owns victories over the likes of Gilbert Melendez, Donald Cerrone, Benson Henderson, Joe Lauzon and Jeremy Stephens in the Octagon.

Oliveira, meanwhile, moved from lightweight to featherweight in 2012. “Do Bronx” has won five of his last six bouts, with his only setback coming to Max Holloway this past August. Most recently the 26-year-old Brazilian submitted Myles Jury in the opening round at UFC on Fox 17.
