Battlegrounds MMA’s one-night welterweight tournament has been moved from June 27 to Oct. 3 and will now air via pay-per-view, the promotion announced Tuesday.

According to a release, both decisions came as a result of “popular demand.” The eight-man bracket includes Dennis Hallman, Cody McKenzie, Chris Honeycutt, Brock Larson, Luigi Fioravanti, David Mitchell, Roan Carneiro and Trey Houston, with the winner receiving $50,000.

BattleGrounds MMA “O.N.E” takes place at B.O.K. Center in Tulsa, Okla., and will be available beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT through various cable and satellite providers including In Demand, DirecTV, Dish and Avail-TVN. A price point for the pay-per-view is expected to be announced soon. Tickets purchased for the June 27 date will be honored on Oct. 3, according to the release.

“This is a tremendous step forward for our two-year-old company that will allow us to bring BattleGrounds MMA’s world-class competitive platform to a live, national audience for the first time,” said promotion president Kenny Monday. “We truly appreciate all the support and enthusiasm that the fans and our fighters have shown us. On October 3, we are going to show our gratitude by giving MMA fans throughout the U.S. the opportunity to take in all the action live from their homes.”

The card also includes a lightweight clash between former Strikeforce and UFC talent Ryan Couture and Jonny Carson as well as a women’s 105-pound scrap pitting Invicta VC veteran Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc against Jen Aniano.
