iKon Fighting Federation is going all-in on Bella Mir, giving the 17-year-old her first headlining spot in her second career match.
“We will close out the year with, by far, our best iKon Fighting Federation card,” said the promotion’s president Keith Veltre. “Bella is the future face of women’s MMA. She’s only 17 but already an incredible athlete and a rising MMA star. The co-feature could be the main event on just about any other card, and the rest of this card is stacked as well.”
Mir made her professional debut in October when she captured a decision over Danielle Wynn. The fight was contested at a 137-pound catchweight, and this next bout will be up an official weight category to featherweight. Little is known about her opponent Silva, as she will be making her professional debut without any notable amateur or other combat sports experience. Should Mir instead face Flores, she will be taking on a foe with a pair of unsuccessful appearances under the Combate Americas banner, where the Mexican fighter dropped back-to-back decisions. Flores has not competed since October 2019.
The co-headliner may be much more significant, as unbeaten Daniel Zellhuber (9-0) faces the surging Alexander Barahona (11-3) at lightweight. Since turning pro in 2016, Barahona has rattled off nine straight wins including seven finishes. His most recent performance came in September, when he snagged a rare calf slicer submission at Lux 010. Barahona has earned five consecutive wins since a 2017 split verdict defeat to Carlos Enrique Canada, with all five coming by first-round TKO/KO.
