Brent Weedman’s chance at redemption is now official, as both he and Rick Hawn were cleared to compete in the Bellator 104 headliner.

Hawn ended Weedman’s run in the Season 6 lightweight tournament last year, taking a unanimous decision from the Kentuckian at Bellator 70. With both men returning to the welterweight division for their rematch, Weedman checked in slightly heavier than his foe at Thursday’s Bellator 104 weigh-in, tipping the scales at 170.7 pounds to Hawn’s 170.4. The return bout constitutes one half of the Season 9 welterweight tournament semifinals, which will also showcase a match pitting War Machine (170.5) against Ron Keslar (170.7).

Bellator 104 takes place at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and will also see heavyweight kickboxing standout Peter Graham (246.6) square off with ex-Bellator title challenger Eric Prindle (265.6). Additionally, the Spike TV-broadcast main card will feature the promotional debut of “Ultimate Fighter 3” winner Kendall Grove (185.7), who faces fellow Octagon alum Joe Vedepo (185.2) at middleweight.

The evening’s preliminary draw streams on immediately prior to the main card broadcast and is highlighted by a welterweight scrap between Karl Amoussou (170.6) and Paul Bradley (171), as well as a 150-pound catch-weight confrontation pitting Robert Emerson (145.6) against Jared Downing (148.3).
