Bellator 111 Weigh-in Results: Dantas, Leone Hit Marks for Bantamweight Title Fight

Eduardo Dantas’ second defense of the Bellator MMA bantamweight crown will move forward as expected, as both the champion and challenger Anthony Leone were cleared for action at Thursday’s Bellator 111 weigh-ins.

Dantas checked in at 134.7 pounds, while Leone tipped the scales at 135 even ahead of Friday’s Spike TV-broadcast main event.

Bellator 111 takes place at Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., and will also feature the opening round of Bellator’s Season 10 heavyweight tournament, highlighted by a battle between K-1 veterans Peter Graham (245) and Siala-Mou Siliga (265.3).

The bracket of big men will also showcase UFC alumnus Lavar Johnson (249.3), who squares off with hard-hitting southpaw Ryan Martinez (262.4). Former Bellator titlist Alexander Volkov (235.8) will lock horns with Mark Holata (260.2), and onetime world combat sambo champion Blagoi Ivanov (254.1) will take on three-time tournament veteran Rich Hale (245.8).
