Marcos Marquez vs. Victor Moreno

Round 1

Moreno quickly takes the center and Marquez attacks with an outside low kick. Moreno returns fire with a low kick of his own, and follows with a flurry of punches. Moreno keeping forward pressure and lands a right hand over the top. Marquez trying to find his way inside as Moreno uses his range. Moreno pumps his jab trying to lure the Nebraska native into the pocket, and then clips Marquez with a looping right hook. Midway through the round, It’s Moreno still stalking forward. Moreno scores with a front kick that backs Marquez up, and then the Iowan follows with a spinning-back kick to the midsection. Moreno briefly ties his opponent up, but the fighters separate.

Round 2

Moreno opens with a lunging left hook to the body and Marquez responds with a low kick. Moreno using his length to keep Marquez at a distance with his jab. Marquez circles the outside of the cage as Moreno continues landing straight shots upstairs. Marquez finds his way inside and scores with a punch-low kick combination. Marquez, who weighed in more than seven pounds overweight for the contest, finally starting to increase his output, rushing forward with flurries of punches. Moreno lands a high kicks and follows with a left hand to the gut. There is under 90 seconds left on the clock now and Marquez still having trouble dealing with his rangy opponent's reach and distance. The fighters trade low kicks and Moreno attempts a switch kick. Moreno scores with a solid outside low kick as the second-round bell sounds.

Round 3

Moreno's push kick scored frequently.
Moreno immediately takes control of the center, and explodes forward with a flying knee. The two fighters again exchange low kicks and Moreno lands a solid right hand over the top. A cut opens up over the left brow of Marquez. Marquez trying to get into the pocket, but he’s met with a flurry of punches by the lanky Moreno. Halfway through the round now and it’s more of the same, Moreno keeping his distance while cleanly outscoring the Nebraska native. Moreno rushes forward with a flying switch kick that partially lands. The fighters take the center of the cage and exchange punches.

With one minute left on the clock, Marquez lets off a torrent of punches, but it’s easily evaded by Moreno. Chopping outside low kick lands for Moreno as the round comes to an end.

Brian Green vs. Anthony Smith

Round 1

Green clips Smith with a stinging right hand upstairs. Smith using a lot of kicks, scoring several to the body and to the legs. Green responds with a punching combination. Smith lands a clean inside low kick that knocks the Des Moines native off balance. The UFC veteran is quickly establishing himself with his striking game. Smith lands several push kicks to the midsection. “Lionheart” scores with a clean knee to the head and continues his kicking attack. Smith has his opponent backing up to the fence, landing sever elbows inside the clinch. One of Smith’s elbows opens up a cut over the left eye of Green. Smith really putting it on Green here, outworking him everywhere. The fight hits the ground and “Lionheart” lands several clean elbows over the top. The fighters return to their feet, and Green lands a pair of body shots as Smith’s back is to the fence. Green explodes forward with more body work as the round ends.

Round 2

Smith working from the center of the cage as Green backs up along the outside. Smith lands a pair of push kicks to the midsection followed by an inside low kick. The UFC veteran lands a hard outside low kick. Green leaps forward with a jumping knee and Smith pushes him to the canvas. Smith follows his opponent to the canvas and opens up a big cut on Green. The Des Moines native’s face is bloodied up as Smith continues his ground and pound attack. Smith continues to go to work inside the guard, landing a series of clubbing elbows down the center. “Lionheart” has his man’s head trapped against the cage, not allowing Green to improve his position. Smith stacks up and continues his attack. Green lands a couple short elbows from bottom, but Smith keeps his pressure from top position. Green lands a couple more elbows off his back as the bell sounds.

Round 3

There are several cuts on the face of Green as the final round begins. Smith immediately changes levels and takes his opponent to the canvas. The UFC veteran again has his man trapped against the cage. Green tries to scramble out and Smith passes into side control. Green trying to push off the cage and Smith briefly threatens with a possible north-south choke. There is three minutes left in the round and it’s Smith in side control landing short elbows to the temple. Green rolls out of position and Smith attempts to take his back. Green manages to end up in top position during the scramble and lands a series of punches against the fence. Smith completes a trip takedown and again goes to work inside the half-guard. With 90 tricks left on the clock “Lionheart” is looking for an arm-triangle. Smith abandons the choke and ends up in full guard. Green scrambles out of position and Smith manages to take his back, but the final bell rings.

Holly Lawson vs. Jozette Cotton

Round 1

Cotton is light on her feet to start the bout and opens with a right hand upstairs. Lawson playing the outside. Cotton keeps a low stance and scores with a couple punches to the body. Cotton lands an outside low kick and “Lil Bear” responds with a right hand. Cotton again scores with a low kick. Midway through the round and it’s a slow start for both fighters as they try to measure each other. Cotton lands a chopping inside low kick and begins taunting Lawson. The fighters trade straight punches and Cotton lands a step-in knee. Not much offensive output from Lawson in the first round. Cotton lands a low kick and follows with a right hand as the round ends.

Round 2

Lawson moves forward with a straight right hand and Cotton responds with a right body kick. Cotton now stalking forward trying to establish her jab, but settles for an inside leg kick. “The #1 Headbusta” again scores with a low kick, and follows with a push kick. Not much volume from either fighter in this second round. Midway through the round the fighters exchange punches, but nothing landing clean. Cotton lands a chopping outside low kick and stalks forward. Cotton posturing in the center taunting the Canadian. With 1:30 left on the clock the fighters return to the center. Cotton scores with a stinging left hand that backs Lawson up. Cotton explodes forward with another low kick-punch combination. The round ends with both fighters awkwardly squaring up in the center.

Round 3

Cotton opens with a left-right combination upstairs but briefly slips to the mat. Lawson does not pursue he opponent, and instead the fight again takes the center of the cage. Cotton scores with a pair of straight punches upstairs and follows with a low kick. Cotton changes levels and completes a takedown against the fence. The Nebraskan goes to work in the open guard of Lawson. Cotton postures up to land a right hand over the top. Lawson using a high guard and Cotton chooses to stand to her feet. Lawson finally trying to put some punches together, but they are falling short. With under two minutes left in the bout, there is not much urgency from the Canadian. Cotton lands another outside low kick and there is significant bruising on the left leg of Lawson. Cotton backs her opponent to the cage, but doesn’t pursue. The round ends with Cotton standing in the center of the cage with her arms behind her back.

Martin Trey Brown vs. Bryan Corley

Round 1

Corley opens with a pair of push kicks followed by an outside low kick. Brown scores with a couple right hooks and the fighters trade low kicks. Corley trying to keep the pressure, but Brown ties him up against the fence. Corley circles out the they again take the center. Corley having a lot of success early with his low kicks. Brown answers with a low kick of his own. Corley lands another pair of low kicks, cause Brown to tie him up against the cage. The fighters trade positions against the fence, and Brown completes a trip takedown. Brown postures up to land some right hands. Corley uses the cage to stand and Brown lands a clean right hand on the break. Brown stalking his opponent around the outside of the cage and lands a punching combination. Corley whiffs on a spinning-back fist but follows with a body kick. Brown completes a trip and drags his man down to the canvas. Corley scoots hit way back to the cage trying to use it to stand. The Nebraskan threatens with a guillotine, but Brown defends and completes another trip. The round ends with Brown landing a short right hand from top position.

Round 2

Corley scores with a pair of low kicks and Brown lands a right hand over the top that appears to leave Corley with rubbery legs. Brown doesn't rush his attack: Corley backs up to the fence and Brown completes a takedown, ending up in side control. Brown effortlessly steps over into full mount to attack his still-hurt foe. He lands a clean, brutal right hand that puts Corley to sleep. Unfortunately for Corley, it's just one of a half dozen super-accurate follow-up shots, bouncing his head around until referee Bruce Allen rescues him.

Michael McBride vs. Kevin Morris

Round 1

McBride stalks forward and Morris immediately changes levels to complete a takedown. Morris in McBride’s full guard as the Iowa native looks for some elbows from the bottom. McBride sits up trying to look for a headlock position and Morris lands a short right hand. Morris briefly moves to half guard but McBride is using butterfly guard to push his opponent off. Morris threatens with a guillotine and the fighters return to their feet. Now it’s McBride completing a takedown against the cage. McBride lands a few short right hands to the midsection and steps over into mount. One minute left on the clock and McBride lands several punches, prompting the Roufusport fighter to give up his back. McBride lands a series of punches from back mount and begins looking for a rear-naked choke. There's just 30 seconds left in the round, but the Iowa native locks up the submission and Morris is left with no choice but to tap.

Eric Howser vs. Tim Bazer

Round 1

The fighters begin the round with a hug in the center of the cage. Howser stalks forward as Bazer plays the outside of the cage. Bazer opens with a left body kick, and Howser responds with one of his own. Howser trying to pressure Bazer against the fence. The fighters tie up and Bazer locks up his head in a bulldog choke position. The fight goes to the mat and Howser looks to take his opponent’s back. Howser sinks in both hooks and begins threatening with a rear-naked choke. Bazer is defending well and Howser steps over into full mount. Bazer shakes his opponent off and ends up in top position. There's a minute and change left on the clock as Bazer keeps pressure against the cage. Howser is using a high guard to attack Bazer now and threatens with a triangle choke. Howser gets a loose triangle and seeks to tighten it up while attacking with elbows to the head of his trapped opponent. The submission isn't fully locked, but the elbows prompt Bazer to tap out, ending the bout in an unsure, anticlimactic fashion.

Chris Lane vs. John DeVall

Round 1

DeVall opens with an inside low kick. DeVall keeping a low stance as Lane wades forward with a combination. DeVall scores with a series of kicks and Lane answers with a right hand upstairs. Lane changes levels and completes a double-leg takedown against the cage. “Kid Khaos” now going to work from top position. Lane postures up to land a series of punches and elbows as DeVall uses a high guard. DeVall switches to a closed guard and looks for a possible sweep from the bottom. Under 2:00 left on the clock as Lane mixes it up to the head and body. DeVall threatens with a triangle choke, but Lane lifts him in the air, cause him to abandon the submission. Lane lands a series of hard right hands as he stacks up his foe. DeVall suddenly throws up a triangle choke from bottom and he gets it tight in a hurry. Lane taps the mat and referee Rick Tasler intervenes to end the contest. Upon the stoppage, Lane tells Tasler that he didn't tap but was trying to give him a thumbs up. Tasler tells him he tapped the mat twice, the replay confirms the referee's call and incredibly, Lane apologizes to the third man in the cage.

Joe Vedepo vs. Davin Clark

Round 1

Vedepo quickly takes the center of the cage and begins stalking Clark along the outside. Vedepo changes levels looking for a takedown but Clark circles out. “Relentless” lands a right hook upstairs and continues backpedaling. Clark throwing a jumping knee but Vedepo lock his opponent up and drags him to the mat. Clark stands back to his feet while Vedepo has a waistlock, and “The Doctor” pulls his man to the canvas. Vedepo locks in a single hook while staying attached to his opponent’s back near the fence. There is 90 seconds left on the clock and Vedepo keeps his top position, landing a series of hard elbows to the ribs of Clark. The American Top Team fighter is still attached to Clark’s back with a single hook while threatening with a rear-naked choke. Vedepo lands a few left hands as the bell sounds.

Round 2

Vedepo again rushes across the cage and wades forward with a hook combination. “The Doctor” looks for a double-leg takedown and completes it against the fence. Vedepo threatens with a guillotine with Clark’s back to the cage, but he quickly abandons the submission. Vedepo stays in the headlock position and now looks for a possible anaconda choke. Vedepo gives it up and the fighters stand, but Vedepo quickly drags his man to the floor once again. The UFC veteran looks to take Clark’s back and he sinks in one hook. Vedepo’s searching for a second hook as his back is against the fence. Clark using good wrist control to defend the rear-naked choke, but Vedepo stays attached to his back. “The Doctor” sinks in his second look and again looks for the choke. Vedepo lands a few peppering shots as the round ends.

Vedepo dominated from back control.
The fighters meet in the center and Clark scores with a step-in knee. Vedepo rushes forward and ties his man up against the fence. Vedepo completes a takedown from the body lock position and sinks in a hook. Vedepo now sits on his opponent against the cage landing series of a left and right hands to the ear’s of Clark. Vedepo continues his ground and pound attack landing a torrent of thudding shots. Referee Rob Hinds warns Clark to improve his position, but Vedepo unleashes an onslaught of right hands, forcing the stoppage.

Andre Santos vs. James Terry

Round 1

Terry opens up with a stiff left jab and Santos answers with an inside low kick. Terry looking to pressure the Santos along the outside of the fence. Santos wades forward with a left-right hook combination. Terry is using lateral movement while sticking his jab in the Brazilian’s face. “Intensity” continues to press forward with his left jab. The San Jose native is really starting to put his punches together. Santos lands a partially blocked high kick and Terry responds with a looping overhand right. Santos rushes forward with a series of wide hooks and Terry answers with a right of his own. Terry clips Santos with a left hand over the top and Santos answers with a right hook, opening a cut on the right eye of the Strikeforce veteran. Terry looks for a takedown but abandons the attempt. Santos lands a lunging left uppercut followed by a pair of hooks. Terry ties the Brazilian up near the fence as the round ends.

Round 2

Terry rushes forward with a pair of right hands and follows with a left high kick. Terry trying to establish his jab, but Santos scores with a hooking combination. “Chatuba” scores with with hand over the top, and then changes levels, taking “Intensity” to the canvas. Terry jumps back to his feet and the fight again takes the center. The Strikeforce vet is using forward pressure, but it’s Santos landing the cleaner punches. Santos lands a solid right hand and Terry responds with a left hook. Santos looks for a takedown but Terry shoves him off. Terry is starting to stalk the Brazilian around the cage, using his jab well. Santos continues to looks for the counter as Terry presses forward. Santos stands in the pocket landing a series of winging hooks. The Brazilian lands a solid left down the center, but Terry clips “Chatuba” with a hard left, backing his opponent up. Terry completes a takedown near the fence, landing a few short shots as the round ends.

Round 3

Terry moves forward trying to pressure Santos near the fence. Terry remains the more accurate striker but Santos continues landing with his wild combinations. Santos playing the outside of the cage. Santos drops the Strikeforce veteran with looping left hook, and looks to take the back. Terry springs to his feet and Santos lands an accidental low blow, causing referee John McCarthy to call a short break in the action. The fight resumes and Terry moves forward.

Santos' awkward standup scored major points.
Now it’s Santos increasing his output with a left-right hook combination on the inside. With just over a minute and a half to go in the fight on the clock, the former ASU Sun Devil wrestler changes levels and successfully takes Santos to the canvas. Terry in the waist lock position, and Santos locks up a standing kimura. The fight hits the ground once again as the Brazilian keeps hold of the shoulder lock. Terry defends well and ends up in in half guard, looking to cinch up a brabo choke as time winds down. Santos rolls through and looks to sit out and escape through the backdoor as the final bell tolls.

Houston Alexander vs. Virgil Zwicker

Round 1

Zwicker sticks his jab in the face of Alexander and the UFC veteran immediately takes him to the mat. Alexander goes to work in top position landing several left hands to the head. Zwicker climbes his way back to his feet, but Alxander immediately trips him back down to the canvas. Alexander trying to work the midsection of Zwicker. “Rezdog” stands back to his feet, but eats a thudding knee to the midsection. Alexander ties Zwicker up and trips him to the floor once again. “The Assassin” sits in the Strikeforce veteran’s open guard landing short shots. Zwicker has Alexander’s arms tied up, looking for a possible stand up. Alexander lands a clear headbutt, prompting referee Rob Hinds to call a break in the action. A warning is issued to Alexander and the fight resumes standing. With 60 seconds left on the clock Zwicker lands a right body kick and clips Alexander with a left hand. “The Assassin” clinches Zwicker against the cage, but “Rezdog” circles out. Alexander lands a right hand upstairs to close the round.

Round 2

The fighters take the center of the cage and Alexander scores with a straight right hand. Zwicker using feints to set up his punches and lands a clean right hand, followed by another. Zwicker continues to stick his jab in the face of “The Assassin” and looks for a short elbow on the inside. “Rezdog” clips Alexander with a left hook, and the Nebraskan responds with a pair of hooks to the body. At the halfway point of the round and the fight, Alexander changes levels for a takedown and completes it against the fence. Now it’s Alexander in half guard landing left hands to the face of the Strikeforce veteran. Zwicker sits up trying to use the cage to stand, but Alexander keeps his top pressure, mixing in punches to the midsection. Alexander lands a few more punches, but Zwicker jumps to his feet and lands a solid knee the head of the UFC veteran. Zwicker changes levels to complete a takedown as the bell sounds.

Zwicker and Alexander fought to a grimy draw.
The final stanza begins with Zwicker whiffing on a spinning-back fist. Alexander snatches a body lock and drags Zwicker to the canvas. Alexander looking to work from top position and lands a blatant headbutt on Zwicker, causing another separation by referee Rob Hinds. A point is deducted from Alexander and the fight resumes. Zwicker scores with a right cross down the center. Alexander presses forward and Zwicker clips the Nebraskan with a lateral elbow. Alexander quickly ties his man up and trips him to the mat. At the halfway mark of the round, it’s Alexander in top position.

"Rezdog" lands a series of elbows from his back as Alexander continues pressuring. Zwicker continues his elbow attack from the bottom, and Alexander responds with several right hands of his own. Zwicker remains busy of his back, is unable to find his way back to his feet. The round ends with Alexander in half guard throwing short punches.

Round 1

John McCarthy will be the third man in the cage for this welterweight main event. Bradley takes the center and opens with with a low kick. Bradley immediately shoots for a takedown and drags Need to the mat. A right hand from Bradley opens up a cut above the left eye of Neer. “The Gentleman” keeps his top pressure, landing short punches to the face of the Iowa native. Neer staying active off his back with elbows, but Bradley continues with his ground and pound. “The Dentist” tries to tie up the arms of Bradley, but the Californian keeps his pressure from top position. With 90 seconds left on the clock Neer looks for a possible triangle, but Bradley shoves him to the side and lands in half guard. The round ends with Neer landing short elbows from bottom.

Round 2

Neer moves forward with his jab but Bradley drives forward with a double-leg takedown, taking his opponent to the mat once again. Bradley has his opponent’s head against the fence while intermediately landing short punches. Referee John McCarthy warns Neer about his fence grabbing while also calling for more action. Midway through the round it’s Bradley in half guard keeping top pressure, pinning Neer native to the mat. Neer regains full guard but is unable to do much off his back. The former Iowa Hawkeye wrestler lands a solid right hand but is largely just holding position. In the final 30 seconds, Neer lands a lateral elbow off his back. Bradley postures up and lands a couple punches as the bell sounds.

Neer couldn't get up off of his back.
Bradley feints a level change and misses with a lunging left hand upstairs. Bradley lands a couple jabs as Neer stalks forward. Bradley again drives forward completing a takedown, and it’s more of the same here in the third round. Bradley sits in Neer’s full guard while keeping pressure on top. Neer looks for a potential kimura but quickly abandons it. Halfway through the round now and Neer has no answer off his back. Bradley sits in half guard landing left hands. Neer looks to stand and Bradley takes his back, locking in both hooks. Bradley looks for a rear-naked choke, but Neer using wrist control to defend.
