Rashard Lovelace vs. Garrett Mueller
Round 1
Mueller looks for an early trip takedown at the fence, but Lovelace busts loose and attacks with leg kicks. Back to the fence they go, and this time Mueller is able to complete the takedown. Mueller tries to pass but finds himself swimming in Lovelace’s guard at the halfway point of the round. The occasional punch is landing for Mueller, but Lovelace is doing well to lock down his arms. With 90 seconds on the clock, Mueller passes to side control, but 10 seconds later, Lovelace rolls the other way and scrambles back to his feet. Lovelace is swinging for the fences, bombing toward Mueller with overhand rights and spinning back-elbows, but not landing anything clean. Mueller takes him down again and spends most of the last minute on top, trying to ground-and-pound. 10-9 Mueller.Round 2
Lovelace turns the tables with a takedown of his own in the first minute of the round, then passes to side control on Mueller’s left. Lovelace looks to be getting in better ground strikes than did Mueller in the first frame, roughing up the bottom man with hammerfists and forearms. Mueller rolls to his knees and continues to absorb punches there, so he puts his back on the mat again. Mueller is shifting and rolling underneath, fishing for a submission, but Lovelace stays safe and eventually moves back to side control. Lovelace leans right to left across Mueller’s body and frames up a kimura. The submission doesn’t materialize, so Lovelace goes to full mount and works on Mueller’s other arm, to no avail. Mueller grabs for a heel hook from underneath, and now the featherweights finish the round in a leglock battle. 10-9 Lovelace.Mueller has suffered a leg injury and cannot answer the bell for the final round, making Lovelace the winner by technical knockout.
The Result
Rashard Lovelace def. Garrett Mueller via TKO (Leg Injury) R2 5:00Isao Kobayashi vs. Justin Lawrence
Round 1
Lawrence controls the center of the cage in the first 90 seconds of the bout, moving Kobayashi around the edge of the cage with leg kicks. Kobayashi drives on Lawrence’s legs but comes up short on his first takedown attempt. The featherweights trade low kicks and little else as they hit a slow patch in the middle of the round. One kick from Kobayashi clips Lawrence on the cup, but the American says he’s OK to continue. Kobayashi takes a body kick and comes shooting again; Lawrence sprawls on the shot and backs up to the fence, then separates and reclaims his spot in the middle. Kobayashi catches a high kick in the waning seconds and tries to convert it into a late takedown, but Lawrence hops on one leg and stays vertical until the bell. 10-9 Lawrence.Round 2
The featherweights take up their familiar positions -- Lawrence in the center, Kobayashi circling the edge of the cage -- as the slow-moving bout continues. Lawrence is being the aggressor but not overwhelming Kobayashi with offense, instead opting to pick at the former King of Pancrase with jabs and leg kicks. Kobayashi is doing even less, seemingly waiting for Lawrence to throw but then not countering when he does. Lawrence doubles up the jab and zaps Kobayashi with a right hand over the top. Kobayashi steps inside to throw a left hand, but before he can deliver, Lawrence lights him up with a left hook-straight right combination. Kobayashi drops to the canvas in a heap and seems to wake up as he hits the ground. Lawrence pounds him out with a few ground strikes until referee John McCarthy steps in for the stoppage. The Result
Justin Lawrence def. Isao Kobayashi via TKO (Punches) R2 2:11Jordan Dowdy vs. Guilherme Vasconcelos
Round 1
Vasconselos begins the fight with a takedown near the fence. He works inside of Dowdy’s guard, and Dowdy returns fire with an upkick. Dowdy attempts to stand and Vasconcelos briefly manages to work his way to his opponent’s back before they separate. They exchange in the center of the cage for a while before Vasconcelos takes his man down again. Again, it’s Vasconcelos attempting to work his way through Dowdy’s guard. Dowdy transitions to his opponent’s back for a rear-naked choke attempt, but he’s too high and falls off the top, leaving Vasconcelos in control from above once again. Vasconcelos is staying busy, landing punches from top position, and he eventually moves Dowdy’s back and sinks in a rear-naked choke, forcing a tap just before the horn sounds. The Result
Guilherme Vasconcelos def. Jordan Dowdy via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R1 4:59Joaquin Buckley vs. Chris Heatherly
Round 1
Heatherly wastes no time in looking for a takedown, forcing Buckley against the wall and working to execute a single-leg. Buckley hits the ground momentarily on his knees but Heatherly can’t corral him. Back on the feet, Heatherly scores with a step-in knee, but now Buckley turns things around with a clinch against the cage. Buckley trips Heatherly to the floor, but “Stump” is quick to get back to his feet. The southpaw Buckley tries to find his range as they swing punches in the final two minutes, but neither man is being particularly effective with his offense. Suddenly, an overhand left-right hook combo sends Heatherly crashing to the ground, where Buckley pounces and tries to finish with hammerfists. Heatherly regains his wits and drives forward to slow the assault by pressing Buckley against the fence. Buckley spins him around and trips Heatherly to the mat to end the frame. 10-9 Buckley.Round 2

Round 1
Erwin-Davis begins the fight with a couple inside leg kicks. Meanwhile, Engel is flicking out his jab but not landing anything just yet. Erwin-Davis continues his focus on the legs. Erwin-Davis lands a right hand before resuming his leg kick attack. A jab finds a home for Erwin-Davis. Engel continues to struggle to find the range on his punches. Erwin-Davis ducks under a punch and briefly grabs a body lock but the fighters quickly separate. Erwin-Davis tags his man with a low kick followed by a jab upstairs. Engel is attempting to counter his foe’s low kicks but isn’t having much success as of yet. Erwin-Davis grabs the clinch and lands a knee to the face. Erwin-Davis sends Engel stumbling backward with a push kick to the gut, then throws a high kick that Engel blocks as the round expires. 10-9 Erwin-Davis.Round 2
Erwin-Davis snipes over the top with a probing right hand, closes in on Engel and clips him with a right high kick. Engel drops to his seat at the base of the fence and then tries to pull Erwin-Davis into his guard, while Erwin-Davis tries to inflict more damage with punches from the standing position. Erwin-Davis kneels down in his opponent’s open guard, slips around and works his way to Engel’s back as he turns. Erwin-Davis barely has the position established with one hook in before he wraps up a rear-naked choke and forces Engel to tap out.The Result
Chel Erwin-Davis def. Kevin Engel via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R2 1:19Matt Mitrione vs. Carl Seumanutafa
Round 1
Seumanutafa lands a few kicks before the southpaw Mitrione clips him on the forehead with a short right hook in a close-quarters exchange. The heavyweights meet in the middle, where Seumanutafa decks Mitrione with a overhand right to the grill. Mitrione is fetal, covering up as Seumanutafa drops a few follow-up punches, but no stoppage is forthcoming from referee John McCarthy. Seumanutafa quickly gives up on the ground-and-pound, instead opting to try and take Mitrione’s back. It’s a bad move, as Mitrione twists around and leaves Seumanutafa on bottom just 90 seconds into the round. Seumanutafa tries to slip out and gets caught underneath the larger man, and now Mitrione ties to keep “Badwater” flat on the ground to land punches. Mitrione is having trouble landing on Seumanutafa from an awkward angle, and now Seumanutafa spins to reclaim guard. Mitrione stands over him in Ali-Inoki position and tries to divebomb Seumanutafa with a big right hand. Seumanutafa uses his legs to block the attack, but when Mitrione shucks the legs and steps into side control to deliver a heavy right hand, Seumanutafa has no defense. Mitrione recognizes the punch has knocked Seumanutafa out cold, and “Meathead” strides away even before referee McCarthy can register what has happened. The Result
Matt Mitrione def. Carl Seumanutafa via KO (Punch) R1 3:22Denise Kielholtz vs. Gloria Peritore
Round 1
The first featured kickboxing match of the evening is a women’s bout in the 125-pound division. Kielholtz comes out swinging but can’t quite find Peritore and has her leg swept by the taller woman. Peritore is staying on the outside through the first half of round one, not letting Kielholtz get close enough to land, clinching when she does. Kielholtz stalks patiently from the middle, again being tripped to the ground as Peritore wraps her up. Kielholtz does some effective work with leg kicks in the last minute and catches a spinning Peritore with a straight right hand.Sherdog Scores

There’s not much offense to speak of, but when she does manage to get close enough, Kielholtz cracks Peritore with a few hard right hands on the chin. Leg kicks look to be affecting Peritore, too, as she loses a little bounce in her step toward the end of the frame. Kielholtz gets finishes the round strong, sending Peritore bouncing off the ropes with a stiff jab and body kick.Sherdog Scores

Round 1
Macfarlane goes shooting for a high takedown against the fence, but she has to switch to a bodylock and drag Ruth to the other side of the cage before she’s able to complete the shot. Ruth stands up, but Macfarlane keeps hold with a rear waistlock and will not let go. Ruth spins around to put her back on the fence, Macfarlane still pressuring her against the wall. The flyweights split, now with three minutes left in the round. Ruth comes forward swinging awkward punches, but Macfarlane goes right under them and tries another high double-leg on the fence. Macfarlane completes the takedown with just under two minutes on the clock, but Ruth stays busy on the ground and is back up within 60 seconds. Macfarlane holds her against the cage some more, threatening with a headlock before dropping to spend the last seconds in a futile takedown attempt.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Ruth comes charging at Macfarlane, who changes levels and uses the momentum to take Ruth back to the canvas. Macfarlane climbs on Ruth’s back immediately and begins working for a rear-naked choke with one hook in. Macfarlane gets the other hook and seems to have the choke sunk deep, but Ruth fights out of it, peeling away Macfarlane’s hands as her face turns purple. Macfarlane releases the RNC but remains in a dominant position, riding the kneeling Ruth and dropping punches under her arms. Macfarlane whips her left arm around Ruth’s neck but can’t quite seal the choke, and Ruth is able to fight out of another tricky spot. Halfway through the round, Ruth stands with Macfarlane still attached to her back. Macfarlane applies the rear-naked choke again, and it doesn’t look like Ruth will be able to fight out of this one. Ruth struggles for a moment but seems to be slowly heading for the ground; before she can drop, Ruth taps out.The Result

Houghton tries to get something going with punches down the middle, but Ross puts his gloves up to deflect and then strikes back with a push kick to the jaw. Houghton smiles to acknowledge the strike before he’s walked into a corner by Ross. Houghton bursts out with a leaping knee that doesn’t land, and now it’s Ross lunging and missing with a knee near the ropes. A knee to the liver gets Houghton doubling over in pain, but he doesn’t hit the ground, so no knockdown is called. Ross rushes in to try and polish off his wounded foe, so Houghton takes a knee. Almost as soon as he’s back up, Houghton gets tripped up and hits the ground again. He disputes the knockdown, but referee Bell gives him an eight count just before time runs out.Sherdog Scores

Round 1
John McCarthy is the referee for tonight’s 155-pound title bout. Chandler pumps his jab from the center, while “Pitbull” looks to snipe back with counters, but neither man is scoring cleanly just yet. Chandler nearly runs Freire to the ground wih a high single-leg, but just as he’s about to go down, the Brazilian plants a hand and keeps his balance. Chandler keeps the pressure on Freire, walking him around the edge of the cage. Out of nowhere, Chandler unloads with a picture-perfect right hand, beating Freire to the punch in a bang-bang exchange. Freire takes the shot square on the jaw and goes crashing to his back. Freire’s eyes are wide open but there’s nobody home, and referee McCarthy rushes in to rescue Pitbull before Chandler can tack on any further damage. The Result

Round 1
Ishii lands the first strike with an inside leg kick as he circles outside of Jackson’s reach. “Rampage” doesn’t like it and raises his hands, calling for Ishii to engage after half a minute. Twenty seconds later, Jackson does it again, this time turning his back to look at the crowd in disbelief. Referee Mike England tells Jackson to fight on, and the former UFC champ continues to plod toward Ishii. Once Jackson gets close enough, Ishii ties him up and trips him to the ground, then widens his legs while kneeling to prevent Jackson from establishing guard. Ishii winds up in half guard on Jackson’s right side, with the left flush against the fence. Ishii is trying to drop elbows and punches but is struggling to find space as Jackson ties up from the bottom. Ishii moves to side control and continues to hold Rampage on the floor. Standing over the kneeling Jackson, Ishii attempts a standing kimura which quickly fades away. Jackson gets to his feet with 70 seconds left in the round, only to be tripped back to the ground right away. Ishii is back in side control, now leaning left to right across Jackson and looking for an armlock. Jackson walks up the wall and escapes the precarious position by flipping and scrambling to his feet shortly before the bell.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Ishii flicks out some long jabs to keep Jackson from getting inside too quickly. Rampage doesn’t seem to be in much of a rush as he slowly inches toward the Olympic gold medalist, taking a few more leg kicks on the way. The heavyweights tie up for a few seconds before Ishii sends Jackson flying back to the floor with a trip. Working from side control, Ishii drops a few punches which Jackson complains landed to the back of his head. Referee England gives Ishii a verbal warning, then issues one to Jackson for looping his toes in the fence as he tries to angle out and escape from underneath. Jackson works back to his feet inside the three-minute mark, but he’s pressed against the fence by Ishii. Short uppercuts land inside for Jackson, who keeps trying to pull Ishii’s head down in the Thai clinch but can’t quite find the room to land a knee. Ishii throws an awkward spinning backfist in close quarters but quickly turns around to keep Jackson on the wall. Jackson is looking to land a big punch or knee in the clinch, constantly trying to tee up Ishii’s head as they pummel for position. Ishii pops Jackson with an elbow before he comes up empty on a double-leg attempt. Jackson continues to land short uppercuts down the stretch, but he finishes the round with his back on the cage.Sherdog Scores

After 30 seconds of inactivity, Jackson throws up his arms at Ishii once again. Ishii doesn’t respond by engaging, but neither does Jackson, and the stalemate continues as scattered boos are heard from the St. Louis crowd. Ishii closes the gap and pushes Jackson against the fence again; Jackson makes him pay right away with a pair of knees to the sternum. Ishii drops for a single-leg and pulls Jackson away from the fence, but the veteran keeps his footing and gets separation from Ishii with just under three minutes on the clock. Ishii tries to get hold of Jackson for another throw, but Jackson thwarts it and stuffs Ishii to the mat instead. Jackson works from top position for the first time in the fight, dropping body punches through Ishii’s open guard in the center of the cage. Ishii tries to shrimp and escape underneath, can’t get away and opts to close his guard instead. Jackson continues to punch from the top, pushing an exhausted Ishii backward to the fence as he does.
