Bellator 169/BAMMA 27 Adds Two More Bouts

When Bellator MMA makes its Irish debut in December, the California-based promotion will be sharing the stage with BAMMA, one of the U.K.’s biggest MMA organizations. On Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed that UFC veteran Niklas Backstrom will oppose Brian Moore in a featherweight tussle.

Also slated for the bill will be a welterweight duel between Kiefer Crosbie and Conor Riordan. That match, along with Backstrom-Moore, will be a part of the massive Bellator 169 event, but they will be held under the BAMMA 27 banner.

The Bellator 169/BAMMA 27 joint promotion will commence on Dec. 16 at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, with the headliner of the night being the intriguing matchup between Muhammed Lawal and Satoshi Ishii. Paul Redmond will also square off against Daniel Weichel on the bill.

The BAMMA bantamweight title will be up for grabs as well when champ Tom Duquesnoy will defend against Alan Philpott while Ronnie Mann will oppose Martin Stapleton for the vacant BAMMA featherweight belt.
