Bellator 191 Weigh-in Results: Michael McDonald, Peter Ligier Cleared for Headliner

Michael McDonald still has all the tools that made him one of the top prospects in mixed martial arts a few short years ago.

McDonald checked in at 137.6 pounds ahead of his Bellator MMA debut against Peter Ligier (135.8) in the Bellator 191 main event on Friday at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England. Meanwhile, women’s flyweights Valerie Letourneau (125.8) and Kate Jackson (125.2) met their contracted weight requirements without incident at Thursday’s official weigh-in.

Bellator 191 “McDonald vs. Ligier” -- which airs on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT -- also features a heavyweight clash pitting James Thompson (266) against Philip De Fries (261) and a lightweight tilt pairing Lewis Monarch (146) with Jeremy Petley (146.4).
