Bellator 237 Weigh-in Results: Heavyweights Cleared; Larkin, Yamauchi Heavy

Bellator MMA will wrap 2019 with a huge event in Japan on Saturday with Bellator 237, and two main card fighters have missed weight.

The card is headlined by a heavyweight slugfest as the legendary Fedor Emelianenko (240.5) will lock horns with the inimitable Quinton Jackson (265). Emelianenko is looking to bounce back from a first-round knockout loss to Ryan Bader for the heavyweight title, while "Rampage" exacted revenge on a former rival in Wanderlei Silva in September, evening their score to 2-2. Jackson is the heaviest he has been in his career, to which he stated, "I'm ashamed of myself," as he had never clocked in above 254.4 pounds.

The co-main event sees Michael Chandler (160.7) attempt to rebound from a championship defeat when he takes on short-notice opponent Sidney Outlaw (160.9) in a 160-pound catchweight affair. At another catchweight, this time at 173 pounds, high-flying Michael Page (172) takes on Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Shinsho Anzai (172.9). In the first of several Bellator vs. Rizin Fighting Federation bouts spanning this event and Rizin 20, Lorenz Larkin (173.5)* will represent Bellator against Japan's Keita Nakamura (170.2) at welterweight. Flyweights will meet as relative Bellator newcomer Ilara Joanne (125.9) faces unbeaten Rizin phenom Kata Watanabe (124.8). Finally, Goiti Yamauchi (157.8)** will try to kick things off in favor of Bellator when he clashes with brilliantly moustached Rizin vet Daron Cruickshank (155.1) at lightweight.

The Bellator 237 main card will stream live on Dazn and the Paramount Network starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Saturday, while the postlims will be shown following the main card on the Bellator Youtube channel.

Additionally, the commission will require Larkin to move to middleweight for his next fight or provide a doctor's note verifying a safe cut, and he must be within 10 percent of his weight class a week prior to his next bout to be cleared.
