Cooper passes to side control and starts landing elbows before looking for an Americana that wasn't meant to be. Perry tries to shuck his opponent off but eats several right hands for his effort. The round ends with Cooper getting mount position but not doing anything of note with it.

Both men fail to get the other martial artist to the ground, and Schiro begins looking for a standing guillotine choke that he uses to land a knee to the head before separating. Hao taunts Schiro to throw, which he does by landing several punches and then a knee in his sharpest striking combination yet. Hao then clinches again and they begin fighting against the cage. Schiro again looks for a guillotine that ultimately goes nowhere.
