Bellator 292 Weigh-in Results: Title Fight Set; Bell 9 Pounds Heavier Than Hill

The Bellator MMA lightweight championship will be on the line as the undefeated Usman Nurmagomedov takes on former UFC champion Benson Henderson in the Bellator 292 main event.

The weigh-ins were relatively drama free as Nurmagomedov and "Smooth" both had no issue making weight. Only one fighter had trouble making weight, but they certainly made it count. Would-be bantamweight Cass Bell came in an entire division over, as he weighed 145.2 pounds for his fight against Josh Hill. The fight will continue with Bell being fined half of his purse.

Nurmagomedov (16-0) is coming off an impressive title win over Patricky Freire in his last outing. After picking up a dominant unanimous decision victory, he'll look to take on a tough veteran in Henderson. A noted finisher, only three of the 24-year-old's fights have gone to a decision. Nurmagomedov officially weighed 154.8 pounds.

Henderson (30-11) has put together two straight wins since dropping three in a row. "Smooth" won a debated split decision over Islam Mamedov but followed it up with a clear triumph over Peter Queally, who he bested over five rounds. His title shot comes in the opening round of the lightweight grand prix, and he weighed 154.6 pounds for the opportunity.

Bellator 292 will air live on Showtime on Friday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Prelims begin at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on YouTube.
