Bellator 94 Weigh-in Results: Lightweight, Light Heavyweight Tournament Finalists Cleared

Bellator’s Season 8 lightweight and light heavyweight tournament finals will proceed as planned, as all four finalists hit their contracted marks as Wednesday’s Bellator 94 weigh-in.

Saad Awad and David Rickels tipped the scales at 155.7 and 155.8 pounds, respectively, while Emanuel Newton checked in at 204.4 pounds ahead of his showdown with Mikhail Zayats, who weighed 205.6.

Bellator 94 takes place at the University of South Florida Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla. The evening’s Spike TV-broadcast main card will also see Luis Sergio da Fonseca Melo (169.8) lock horns with Trey Houston (170.4) in a welterweight affair, while Ronnie Mann (135.7) makes his bantamweight debut against Rodrigo Lima (135.8) in a tournament qualifier.

Immediately prior, the evening’s preliminary card streams live on and features a pair of notable women’s bouts, as Felice Herrig (115.7) takes on Heather Clark (115.9) and Jessica Aguilar (114.6) goes against Patricia Vidonic (115) in a rematch of their 2012 encounter. Additionally, UFC veteran and former Cage Rage title contender Tony Fryklund (155.6) will return from a five-year absence to face 23-year-old prospect Patrick Cenoble (156.2).
