Bellator 97 Weigh-in Results: Michael Chandler, David Rickels Hit Marks for LW Title Headliner
Michael Chandler will defend his lightweight championship as expected on Wednesday night at Bellator 97, as both Chandler and David Rickels were cleared to compete at Tuesday’s weigh-ins.
Chandler checked in at 154.4 pounds and “The Caveman” at 154.6 ahead of their lightweight title main event. Bellator 97 takes place at Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M., and will additionally feature a co-headlining welterweight title attraction between reigning champ Ben Askren (169.9) and Season 7 tournament winner Andrey Koreshkov (169.2).

The show’s preliminary card streams live on Spike.com and will showcase a pair of top wrestling talents, as Shawn Bunch (135.6) and Bubba Jenkins (156) face Russell Wilson (135.6) and Mike Barreras (155.8), respectively.
