Former Bellator Fighting Championships and M-1 Global talent Raphael Davis was arrested Tuesday on charges of filing false workers’ compensation insurance claims, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office recently announced.
If convicted, Davis could face up to five years in jail, district attorney officials said.
A 6-foot-3 light heavyweight, Davis competed four times for Bellator, posting a 3-1 record with the Chicago-based promotion. “Noodle” participated in Bellator’s Season 4 light heavyweight tournament, falling in the quarterfinals to D.J. Linderman at Bellator 38 just over one year ago. Most recently, Davis earned his 12th career victory on March 24, finishing Berin Balijagic via second-round technical knockout.
