Bellator MMA has signed former University of Missouri wrestler Johnny Eblen to an exclusive, multi-fight deal.
A promotion official confirmed the news to Sherdog.com on Tuesday. Eblen is expected to compete in Bellator’s middleweight division, though a debut date has not been decided.
The 27-year-old Eblen currently trains at American Top Team in Florida. He has compiled a 4-0 record while competing exclusively for the Shamrock FC promotion. Most recently, Eblen forced Tyler Lee to submit to punches 3:10 into the opening stanza of their Oct. 13 encounter.
Shamrock FC has served as a pipeline of sorts for Bellator, as the promotion has signed several fighters — including Eblen — from the Missouri-based organization.
