Specific fights for each venue have not yet been announced by the promotion, but Bellator's fourth season will contain tournaments in the featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and light heavyweight divisions. Bellator's events will air live on MTV 2 on Saturday nights in Season four.
“We are happy to be working with Howard Pollack and his team at C3 Fights to bring our MTV2 MMA tournament events to Oklahoma fans four times in 2011,” said Bellator chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney in the press release. “It’s great to visit locations where fans love MMA, and Oklahoma is one of those places.”
Season four will kick off March 5 with Bellator Fighting Championships 35 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif., and will showcase all four welterweight quarterfinals. Former Bellator 170-pound king Lyman Good will square off with Chris Lozano. Meanwhile, Season two finalist Dan Hornbuckle will meet Brent Weedman, and Strikeforce veteran Jay Hieron will lock horns with Steve Carl. Rounding out the quarterfinals will be an all-judo affair pitting Olympic judoka Rick Hawn against “Judo” Jim Wallhead.
The winner of each of the tournaments will be awarded $100,000 in total pay and a shot at each division's respective champion.
