Bethe Correia and Sijara Eubanks have agreed to meet in a bantamweight clash at UFC Mexico City.
Eubanks confirmed the bout to Sherdog.com following an initial report from Raphael Marinho of Combate. Eubanks added that she is “pumped” for the opportunity to get back into the Octagon against Correia.
Correia is coming off of a submission loss to Irene Aldana at UFC 237, where she also had missed weight. Before that, she lost by knockout to Holly Holm and had a draw against Marion Reneau. Her last win came back in 2016, when she beat Jessica Eye by split decision at UFC 203.
Eubanks, meanwhile, is coming off of a decision loss to Aspen Ladd at UFC Rochester in her bantamweight debut. Prior to her move at bantamweight, “Sarj” went 2-0 at flyweight in the Las Vegas-based promotion and was supposed to fight for the title against Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 230 before the fight was scrapped.
UFC Mexico City goes down on Sept. 21 and is currently without a main event. The card is expected to air in its entirety on ESPN+.
