The AMC Pankration rep submitted World Extreme Cagefighting veteran Andrew Leone with a first-round rear-naked choke in the One Championship “Kings and Conquerors” headliner on Saturday at Cotai Arena in Macau, China. Leone conceded defeat 1:47 into Round 1.

Fernandes zapped the challenger with a close-quarters knee strike along the fence, trailed him to the mat with punches and advanced to the back. Soon after, the choke was in place and Leone was a beaten man. Arguably the top bantamweight competing outside the auspices of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the 37-year-old Fernandes has rattled off 12 straight wins and has not tasted defeat in nearly seven years.

In the five-round co-main event, Constrictor Team thoroughbred Adriano Moraes unified the One Championship flyweight title with a unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Kairat Akhmetov. Moraes -- who lost a split decision to Akhmetov in November 2015 -- carved up the Kazakhstani grappler with crisp standup for the better part of 25 minutes and punctuated his third straight victory with a late takedown.

Meanwhile, Timofey Nastyukhin won for the fourth time in six One Championship appearances, as he claimed a unanimous decision over Koji Ando in a three-round featherweight showcase. Nastyukhin managed to stay upright despite the Sengoku veteran’s best efforts and handled his business on the feet, drawing favor from the judges with superior output. Ando, 32, has lost three of his last four fights.

In other action, Shannon Wiratchai knocked out Rajinder Singh Meena with a knee strike 29 seconds into the first round of their featherweight tussle; Hayato Suzuki submitted Joshua Pacio with a rear-naked choke 3:17 into the first round of their flyweight fight; Kotetsu Boku disposed of Eric Kelly with punches 3:27 into the third round of their featherweight bout; Chen Lei submitted Saiful Merican with an armbar 3:58 into the third round of their flyweight pairing; Jomary Torres tapped Rika Ishige with a rear-naked choke 1:58 into the second round of their women’s atomweight tilt; Leandro Issa stopped Toni Tauru with punches 1:36 into the second round of their bantamweight scrap; Magomed Idrisov took a unanimous decision from Herbert Burns in a three-round featherweight encounter; Marcin Prachnio knocked out Gilberto Galvao with a right hook 1:23 into the first round of their middleweight confrontation; and Leandro Ataides was awarded a unanimous decision over Michal Pasternak in a three-round middleweight matchup.
