Tyson Fury vs. Tom Schwarz

Round 1

Kenny Bayless is the referee for this heavyweight bout between Tyson Fury and Tom Schwarz. The MGM is filled almost to capacity and it’s a mostly pro-Fury crowd. Fury is very lively and confident; Schwarz is stoic and focused. Fury opens the bout with a left jab and then backs away. Schwarz is moving forward slowly, looking to strike. Fury is sticking and moving well, jabbing to the head and body. The German lands a sharp right upstairs. Fury with another jab, but Schwarz tags him with a slow, looping left hook. “The Gypsy King” continues to rifle his left jab, tossing in a few rights for good measure, though nothing is landing cleanly. Schwarz is following the Brit around the ring without cutting off the ring, all the while swallowing jabs. 10-9 Fury.

Round 2

Fury switches to southpaw and begins tossing out a right jab. Schwarz is cracked by a right uppercut on the inside and he’s shaken a little. Fury doesn’t go after him, though, and returns to his jab. Schwarz comes in with a right but is hammered by a left hook and then a right to the jaw. Schwarz’ knees stiffen briefly, but he recovers quickly. Fury is pot-shotting his foe and showboating. Blood is streaming from Schwarz’s nose, but he continues to come forward. The German launches a volley of punches with Fury against the ropes, but Fury avoids them all. Fury then changes direction and forces Schwarz across the ring and drops him with a combo to the head. Schwarz is up and Fury pounces on him. Schwarz is trapped in the corner and “The Gypsy King” unloads a barrage of punches. Schwarz can only cover up; he’s hurt and Bayless has seen enough, ending the fight just before the bell ends the second.
