The 31-year-old Brunson has won five of six in the Octagon, with his lone setback coming at the hands of top 185-pound contender Yoel Romero in January 2014. Most recently, the Jackson-Wink MMA representative stopped Sam Alvey inside of a round at UFC Fight Night in Nashville on Aug. 8.
After winning Battlegrounds MMA’s one-night, eight-man tournament last year, Carneiro returned to the Octagon at UFC 184, submitting Mark Munoz with a rear-naked choke in the first round. It was the Brazilian’s first Octagon appearance since 2008.
Once a highly-regarded prospect, Thatch has fallen on hard times of late, dropping back-to-back contests against Gunnar Nelson and Benson Henderson. Prior to those defeats, Thatch had won 10 straight fights, finishing all of his opponents inside of a round.
Bahadurzada has been on a lengthy hiatus, with his last bout coming in December 2013, when he suffered a unanimous decision loss to John Howard at UFC 168. Bahadurzada is 1-2 in the Octagon overall, including a knockout triumph against Paulo Thiago in his promotional debut.
