M-1 Global announced Friday that featherweight champion Ivan Buchinger will defend his crown against undefeated challenger Magomed Idrisov in the headlining bout of M-1 Challenge 67.
Buchinger, a native of Slovokia, has yet to lose inside the M-1 Challenge ring. He captured the vacant M-1 145-pound title at M-1 Challenge 52 when he stopped Tural Ragimov via punches in the fourth round. He officially defended his crown once, taking a unanimous decision against current M-1 lightweight champ Mansour Barnaoui at M-1 Challenge 62.
Russia’s Idrisov, meanwhile, is unbeaten in six professional outings, and is coming off a decision win over Sergej Grecicho at M-1 Challenge 61 last December.
M-1 also announced that welterweight prospect Shavkat Rakjmonov will put his unblemished record on the line against Brazilian veteran Carlos Alexandre Pereiria.
