It was definitely an unforgettable night for Cat Zingano last Saturday at UFC 232, though probably not in the way she would have wanted.

At the conclusion of the fight there was a clear cut on the eyelid of Zingano, and this week she posted an update of the injury on Twitter indicating she will be back.
“S--- happens, grab a shovel,” the 36-year-old Zingano wrote. “’Eye’ll’ be back.”
Zingano has now also detailed the specifics of the injury to ESPN:
“I have a damaged iris, damaged retina, hemorrhage in the back of my eye, increased globe pressure and of course the laceration,” Zingano said. “They want me back at the doctor every three to four days to make sure there’s no detachment on the retina.”
“Alpha” has said she is also considering filing an appeal of the outcome of the bout.
