A welterweight bout pitting Cathal Pendred against Sean Spencer has been added to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Jan. 18 trip to Boston.

The promotion announced the matchup on Thursday. The UFC Fight Night card takes place at the TD Garden in Boston and is headlined by a featherweight clash between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver. Eddie Alvarez and Benson Henderson will square off in the evening’s co-main event.

A former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship titlist, Pendred has been victorious in his first two Octagon appearances. The SBG Ireland representative submitted Mike King with a second-round rear-naked choke in his promotional debut before capturing a split verdict against Gasan Umalatov at UFC Fight Night “Nelson vs. Story” on Oct. 4.

Spencer, meanwhile, has won three of his last four fights. “Black Magic” last appeared at UFC Fight Night “Bigfoot vs. Arlovski 2,” where he earn a unanimous decision victory over Paulo Thiago in Brazil. Spencer also owns triumphs over Drew Dober and Yuri Villefort during his UFC tenure.
