Charles Oliveira will lock horns with David Teymur at UFC Fight Night 144 in Fortaleza, Brazil, on Feb. 2.
Promotion officials confirmed the lightweight pairing on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night takes place at Centro de Formacao Olimpica and is headlined by a bantamweight rematch between Raphael Assuncao and Marlon Moraes. The card will air on ESPN+.
Oliveira, the UFC’s all-time leader in submission victories, is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. “Do Bronx” has tapped out Jim Miller, Christos Giagos and Clay Guida in his last three outings to run his career record to 25-8.
A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Teymur has won eight straight bouts since dropping his professional debut in October 2013. That streak includes five triumphs in the Octagon, where Teymur outpointed Nik Lentz in his last appearance at UFC Fight Night 131 on June 1.
