The two middleweights were scheduled to fight at Bellator Dublin on Sept. 27, but Ward had to pull out with an injury. Now, the scrap has been rebooked for Bellator London on Nov. 23, the promotion announced Tuesday.
Ward, who trains at SBG Ireland, is 7-3 as a pro and 4-0 in Bellator since being released from the Ultimate Fighting Championship following knockout losses to Abdul Razak Alhassan and Galore Bofando. Out of his seven wins, five have come by KO/TKO while all three losses have come by KO/TKO.
Penini, meanwhile, will be making his Bellator debut after recent stints in Italian Cage Fighting and Venator FC. He is 8-1-1 as a pro along with one no contest with his lone loss coming against Leon Aliu by TKO. The 26-year-old is currently on a two-fight winning streak.
Bellator London is headlined is headlined by a welterweight bout between Michael Page and Derek Anderson.
