MMAFighting.com was first to report the booking. Bellator 202 takes place at Winstar Resort and Casino in Thackerville, Okla., on July 13 and is headlined by a women’s featherweight title bout between Julia Budd and Talita Nogueira. The evening’s main card airs on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, while prelims stream immediately prior on Bellator.com. Honeycutt vs. Leite is scheduled to air on the preliminary draw.
Honeycutt had a four-fight winning streak snapped in his most recent outing, as he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Rafael Lovato Jr. at Bellator 189 on Dec. 1. The 29-year-old Dethrone Base Camp representative is 6-2 with one no contest under the Bellator banner and 10-2 as a professional overall.
Leite, meanwhile, made his promotional debut at Bellator 186, where he dropped a unanimous verdict to former 205-pound champion Phil Davis. The 40-year-old Brazilian began his professional tenure with 10 consecutive triumphs.
