Co-Main Event, Three Other Bouts Announced for Combate Americas Return on Aug. 28

The promotion announced the women’s bout on Tuesday. Three other other matchups were also confirmed for the card: Elvin Espinoza vs. Rudisel Mora at lightweight; Eric Alequin vs. Charles Decca at welterweight and Jomal Rodriguez vs. Lamar Brown at a 160-pound catchweight.
The event takes place at a closed studio in Miami and airs on AXS TV at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. In the headliner, Juan Puerta will square off against David Duran for the inaugural Combate Americas flyweight title.
Yanez last appeared at Combate Americas “Tito vs. Alberto,” where she suffered a split decision loss to Melissa Martinez on Dec. 7. Prior to that, “Dirty Dez” had been victorious in her previous four professional outings.
Adaimes, meanwhile, made her promotional debut last October, when she earned a unanimous decision triumph over Alma Cespedes Flores at Combate Americas “Monterrey.”
As previously announced, all Combate Americas staff, athletes and officials will underdgo COVID-19 and antibody testing in Miami prior to the event. The promotion is planning to hold additional closed-studio fights on Sept. 11 and Sept. 25.
