Colby Covington Disrupts Kamaru Usman's Pre-UFC 235 Open Workout

Controversial UFC welterweight Colby Covington has made his feelings known after he was overlooked by the UFC for the 170 pound title when the promotion chose to award Kamaru Usman the chance to fight against the champ Tyron Woodley.

Usman and Woodley meet on Saturday night at UFC 235 and yesterday during Usman’s open workout, Covington made his way to the front of the crowd, armed with a mini megaphone, sunglasses, a red “Make America Great Again” hat and his interim belt wrapped around one arm. “Chaos” told Usman he was “boring” as he made his way forward.

“It’s title next or I’m out of the UFC. It’s title or nothing” said Covington, who was eventually escorted out by hotel security before continuing his protest.

“They know I’m next, they know I’m the real world champion,” Covington said after exiting the open workouts. “There’s no interim about this. I’m the people’s champ, I’m America’s champ. I better be next, if not, they need to give me my release and I’m going somewhere else to defend my title. “It’s title next or I’m out of the UFC. It’s title or nothing.”
