A women’s strawweight co-main event clash pitting Yasmine Jauregui against Karen Cedillo is among eight new bouts announced for Combate Americas upcoming event in Mexicali, Mexico, on Feb. 21.
The event is headlined by a lightweight title fight between Rafa Garcia and Humberto Bandenay and airs on AXS TV at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The main card will also feature a 130-pound catchweight matchup between Edgar Chairez and David Macias Ruiz.
Six preliminar contests were also revealed on Wednesday: Ernesto Ibarra vs. Santiago Monreal at flyweight; Laura Huizar vs. Ana Palacios at atomweight; Raul Jimenez vs. Saul Cabrera at featherweight; Gabriel Villanueva vs. Alessandro Aguilar at lightweight; Cristian Perez vs. Roman Lopez Campos at lightweight and Jaime Paullada vs. L.J. Torres at light heavyweight.
Mexico’s Jauregui is unbeaten in her professional career and is coming off a decision win over Yajaira Romo at a Combate Americas event this past September.
Also a native of Mexico, Cedillo has won four of her five pro outings and is 1-1 under the Combate Americas banner.
