The promotion announced the matchup on Monday evening.

UFC Fight Night 120 is set for Nov. 11 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va. The main card airs live on Fox Sports 1, headlined by a lightweight clash between former UFC 155-pound champion Anthony Pettis and rising contender Dustin Poirier.

The 32-year-old McGee won “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 11 tournament as a middleweight in June 2010, going 3-0 at 185 pounds before dropping back-to-back decisions to Costas Philippou and Nick Ring that saw him pare down to welterweight. Since his August 2013 victory over current UFC interim 185-pound champ Robert Whittaker, “The Crusher” has alternated wins and losses in the Octagon, most recently dropping a unanimous verdict to veteran Ben Saunders this past January.

Strickland, 26, compiled a 14-0 pro MMA record before cutting down to 170 pounds in February 2015, where he was defeated in his divisional debut by welterweight contender Santiago Ponzinibbio. “Tarzan” then won three in a row over Igor Araujo, Alex Garcia and Tom Breese before being outwrestled by Kamaru Usman at UFC 210 this past April, suffering a unanimous decision loss.
