Cub Swanson vs. Kron Gracie Nearly Finalized for UFC Fight Night on Oct. 12

A featherweight bout pitting Cub Swanson against Kron Gracie is in the works for a UFC Fight Night card on Oct. 12.

ESPN.com was first to report the booking. The event, which does not currently have a venue, will air on ESPN+ and is expected to be headlined by a strawweight clash between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson.

Swanson, 35, has fallen on tough times of late. The Palm Springs, Calif., native has lost his last four bouts within the Las Vegas-based promotion, including a split-decision setback to Shane Burgos in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 151 on May 4.

A decorated jiu-jitsu practitioner, Gracie tapped Alex Caceres with a rear-naked choke in the opening stanza of his Octagon debut at UFC on ESPN 1. The 30-year-old has finished all five of his professional victories by submission.
