Dana White Dismisses 'F***ing Crazy' Talk of Cejudo-Shevchenko Intergender Fight

Ultimate Fighting Championship dual-division champion Henry Cejudo continues to push the boundaries when it comes to promoting himself, most recently by challenging women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko to an “intergender” title fight and leaving their boss shaking his head in disbelief.

Since capturing the 135-pound belt, Cejudo has started to refer to himself as “Triple-C,” short for triple champion, in reference to his belts in the UFC 125-pound and 135-pound divisions to go alongside the gold medal that he won at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Now, “The Messenger” has targeted Shevchenko with challenges to an “intergender” fight and UFC President Dana White who spoke to the media after Tuesday’s episode of Dana White's Contender Series, believes it would be something she would seriously consider but thinks the whole idea of the fight is outrageous (Transcription via MMAFighting.com):

“That’s the wackiest shit I’ve ever heard in my life,” White said. “It’s just f*cking crazy that he would even say that. But Valentina would probably do it. I don’t even know how to respond to that or what to say other than ‘Wow.’”

The challenge originated after Cejudo recorded a video in which he declared himself jealous of Shevchenko’s gold after the “Bullet” defended her title against Liz Carmouche over the weekend at UFC Uruguay.

Shevchenko didn’t back down from the challenge and in an interview with ESPN warned Cejudo before posting a response through her own social media:

White was asked whom he would favor in the hypothetical fight, and to his credit, refused to even entertain the notion:

“F*ck, I don’t know,” White said. “I can’t even f*cking wrap my brain around that, why he would say that. It’s just crazy, but what are you gonna do?”
