A frustrated Ladd took to Twitter and Instagram to voice her frustration with the decision suggesting the cancellation was squarely down to Holm. The 23-year-old did mention she was still willing to take another opponent for the card next month.
Holm’s last appearance inside the Octagon was at UFC 225 back in June last year where she comfortably beat Megan Anderson via unanimous decision.
The undefeated Ladd continues to impress and has now improved to 7-0 in her professional career with her latest win coming via first round TKO at UFC 229 in October against the veteran former Invicta FC bantamweight champ Tonya Evinger.
UFC 235 takes place March 2, 2019 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The loaded card is scheduled to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Anthony Smith, with Tyron Woodley defending his welterweight title against Kamaru Usman in the co-main event slot.
