Dwight Joseph (135) vs. Jay Perrin (136)

Round 1

Joseph opens up with a pair of leg kicks. Perrin catches a body kick shortly thereafter and takes Joseph to the canvas. Joseph creates some space and explodes to his feet, immediately shooting for a single-leg takedown. They separate from the clinch and return to the center of the Octagon. Joseph catches Perrin coming forward with a solid straight left. Perrin finds the range on a right of his own, and they clinch briefly again. Joseph lands another low kick to Perrin’s lead leg. A push kick follows from Joseph. Perrin forces a tie up and shoves Joseph into the cage. They separate and Joseph lands a takedown. Joseph maintains a body lock as Perrin stands near the fence. Perrin is able to break free and they’re back to trading. Joseph connects on a two-punch combination. Perrin lands a body shot and a left hook before the bell.

Round 2

A straight left by Joseph draws a smile from Joseph. A right hook connects for Joseph in another exchange. Joseph pressures, and Perrin lands a takedown after catching a kick. Joseph locks in a guillotine immediately. Perrin is stuck in Joseph’s full guard, but he remains calm as he defends the choke. Perrin throws some short right hands to the ribs, but Joseph hasn’t relinquished the choke. He finally gives it up with a little more than 3:00 to go. Now Perrin is in top position, working in his opponent’s full guard. Joseph scoots toward the fence and sits up. Joseph scrambles up and defends a takedown against the fence. He reverses position and drives Perrin into the cage, landing a punch when they break the clinch. A body kick lands for Joseph. Joseph forces the clinch, but Perrin turns him into the fence. Perrin with a short elbow on the break, and he lands a knee when Joseph pressures. Joseph swarms against the fence, throwing massive haymakers. Nothing lands, though, and the round draws to a close.

Round 3

A straight left lands flush for Joseph, and Perrin shakes it off. Perrin explodes for a double leg, lifts Joseph and plants him on his back. Perrin grabs a front headlock but lets it go as Joseph stands. Joseph frees himself from the clinch and returns to the center of the cage. Joseph clinches and pushes Perrin into the fence. Perrin responds with a knee to the midsection. Perrin reverses position and lands a right on the break. He immediately shoots and gets Joseph down near the fence. Perrin is working to take Joseph’s back, but he can’t get both hooks in and Joseph turns into top position with a little less than 2:00 to go. They stand and Joseph lands a knee to the head. Back in the clinch, Joseph lands a knee to the body as Perrin shoves him into to fence. They separate with a minute left. Perrin lands a body kick but has a left hook blocked. Joseph changes levels for a double leg and drives Perrin into the fence. Perrin defends and reverses position as time winds down. They break, but neither is able to land in one final exchange.

Taylor Johnson (185.5) vs. Andre Muniz (185.5)

Round 1

Johnson comes out throwing heavy leather but gets clipped with a counter hook. Johnson quickly pops up and shoots for a powerful double leg. He slams Muniz to the mat and gets to work with ground-and-pound. Johnson slams his way out of an armbar. Muniz scrambles up and has a rear waist lock. He’s attached himself to Johnson’s back with one hook in as his opponent goes to all fours. Muniz is hunting for a choke, but it’s on Johnson’s chin. Muniz rolls his opponent over and slides his arm deeper underneath the chin. Now the choke is tight, and Johnson is forced to tap in a matter of seconds.

Herbert Burns (145.5) vs. Darrick Minner (146)

Round 1

Burns closes distance quickly and lands a trio of knees. Minner fires back with a big right hand. Burns tries for a takedown and elects to pull guard instead. Burns hunts for a leg lock, but that allows Minner to jump on his back. Minner jumps off the back and keeps a rear waist lock. Minner with some knees to the thigh before they separate. Minner swings wildly and appears to briefly stun his foe. Burns stays in it and jumps for a guillotine but is forced to relent. Minner is in top position in his opponent’s full guard. Ridiculous pace in the first two minutes. Minner passes to half guard and drops an elbow before transitioning to a guillotine. Burns uses the cage to walk his feet up and escape. Moments later, Burns transitions to a triangle and extends Minner’s arm. He cinches the triangle tighter and simultaneously torques the arm, quickly eliciting the tapout from Minner.

Lucrezia Ria (124.5) vs. Marilia Santos (124.5)

Round 1

Santos pressures and lands a glancing body kick. Ria blitzes forward with punches and forces the clinch. They quickly separate. Ria pressures with punches again, but is unable to land before briefly tying up with her opponent. Both flyweights are struggling to find the range on their strikes in the first two minutes. Santos connects on a body kick and then clinches with her foe. Santos looks for a takedown and briefly gets to Ria’s back before the Italian takes top position in a scramble. They return to standing and Santos forces the clinch again. They trade knees before breaking. Santos follows a high kick with a flurry of big punches near the fence. Santos slips on a kick and Ria is able to take top position. Santos transitions to an armbar and goes belly down with about 1:00 to go. The hold isn’t fully in place, and Ria grabs an ankle. They roll and Ria lands a couple right hands from a 50-50 position before the horn.

Round 2

Santos quickly closes the distance and ties up with Ria before backing off. Santos presses the action, but Ria catches a kick and shoves the Brazilian down. Santos stays on her back, inviting Ria into guard. Ria remains standing until Santos hustles up. Santos lands some heavy punches during a wild exchange. Santos marches forward and sits down on a heavy right hand. They clinch and Ria gets a nice body lock takedown. Santos utilizes a high guard and threatens with an armbar. Now Santos is looking to separate the Italian’s hands. Ria uses the fence to escape, but Santos has transitioned to a heel hook. Ria scrambles into top position and attempts to drop some punches. Santos is rolling for a heel hook, but Ria kicks her away. Ria goes back to top position and steps into mount with 45 seconds left. Santos recovers half guard, but Ria drops some elbows from above. Ria stands, clears the legs and drops punches and some short elbows before the horn.

Round 3

The combatants exchange a hug at the beginning of the frame. Santos steps in and hurts Ria with a left hook. She follows up and lands a combination. Ria is fading and eats a big right hand. Santos is unloading with big punches early on. Ria is doing her best to fire back, but Santos is getting the best of all the exchanges. Santos gets taken down off a kick but pops back up and drives Ria into the fence. Santos throws a high kick that hits Ria’s guard. Santos shoots for a takedown, but Ria locks in a guillotine. Santos is only in half guard, however, so Ria can’t finish the choke. Santos has moved to full mount, but Ria hasn’t let go of the choke. Ria won’t be able to finish the submission here. Santos pops her head free, but Ria uses the fence to try and buck the Brazilian off here. Santos rolls for an armbar and goes belly down. Ria throws some knees to the thigh while defending the armbar. Ria steps over into a reverse north-south position, and Santos hangs on to the arm. The fight ends in this position.

Omar Antonio Morales Ferrer (155.5) vs. Harvey Park (155.5)

Round 1

Morales lands a hard leg kick and goes upstairs with a high kick, but Park blocks it. Morales is landing hard low kicks. Morales is landing heavy early and Park elects to force the clinch. They trade knees in close quarters but Park lands to the groin and the bout is paused. Park pressures and eats a left before shooting for a takedown. Morales reverses position and lands a right on the break. Morales just misses a high kick. Park is stalking while Morales circles on the outside. The sheriff’s deputy forces the clinch again and presses Morales into the fence. Morales lands a couple knees and circles away. They trade in the pocket, and Morales lands more effectively. They trade kicks and Park lands low again. Morales shakes it off and lands a right uppercut as Park wades into the clinch. Morales turns Park into the fence, but it’s Park with a knee to the body. Morales just misses a spinning elbow on the break. Park pressures with punches and clinches once again. Park grinds away as we’re down to 30 seconds. They separate and Morales lands a hard calf kick. Park is able to land some solid punches in a late exchange. Morales defends a takedown before the horn.

Round 2

Park is stalking Morales, looking to close the distance. A jab lands for Morales. Park with a body kick, but Morales answers with leg kick that appears to hurt his adversary. Park stumbles forward and is denied on a takedown. Park’s leg is hurt and Morales wastes no time landing another low kick. Now Park is in a defensive position with his back to the cage. Morales tags his opponent with a jab. Park can’t defend himself here, and Morales drops Park with a one-two straight down the pipe. Herb Dean has seen enough and steps in to call off the bout.
