Daniel Teymur to Face Contender Series Alum Chase Hooper at UFC 245

A featherweight bout pitting Daniel Teymur against Chase Hooper has been added to the UFC 245 lineup.

The pairing was initially confirmed by ESPN. UFC 245 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 14 and is headlined by a welterweight title clash between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. Teymur vs. Hooper is expected to air on early prelims via ESPN+.

After beginning his promotional tenure with three consecutive defeats, Teymur earned his first Octagon triumph at UFC Fight Night 153, where he outpointed Sung Bin Jo on June 1. The 31-year-old Allstars Training Center member owns a 7-3 career mark, with six triumphs coming inside the distance.

The 20-year-old Hooper received a developmental deal after taking a decision against Canaan Kawaihae on Season 2 of Dana White’s Contender Series. The Washington native has since gone 2-0-1 on the regional circuit, earning victories in the Island Fights and Titan FC promotions.
