Darren Stewart vs. Eric Spicely Booked for UFC Fight Night 130 in Liverpool

Darren Stewart will face Eric Spicely in a middleweight contest at UFC Fight Night 130.

Spicely confirmed the matchup via Twitter following an initial report from MMANYTT.com. UFC Fight Night 130 takes place on May 27 at Echo Arena in Liverpool, England. Darren Till will compete in the main event, although an opponent has not been announced for the rising welterweight star.

Stewart is still looking for his first UFC triumph. After his Octagon debut against Francimar Barroso was ruled a no contest due to an accidental clash of heads, “The Dentist” has dropped three straight bouts, including a second-round submission defeat to Julian Marquez in his last outing at UFC on Fox 26.

Spicely, meanwhile, will looking to halt a two-fight skid after falling to Gerald Meerschaert via knockout and Antonio Carlos Jr. via submission in his last two outings. Spicely is 2-3 in the UFC and 10-3 as a professional overall.
