The aforementioned event is likely UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, which promotion executive David Shaw recently announced would take place on Sept. 22 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium.
Branch, 36, is coming off a first-round knockout of Thiago Santos at UFC Fight Night 128 on April 21. The Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu product has won two of three appearances during his second stint with the Las Vegas-based promotion.
“Jacare,” meanwhile, is coming off a split-decision loss to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 224. Prior to that defeat, the 38-year-old Brazilian kicked off his 2018 campaign with a first-round knockout of Derek Brunson at UFC on Fox 27 on Jan. 27.
