WEC veteran L.C. Davis will make his return to competition on Jan. 28 when he takes on undefeated Jared Downing in a featherweight duel at Titan Fighting Championships 16, which takes place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.
The card will also feature a middleweight scrap between UFC veteran Drew McFedries and former Strikeforce talent Gary Tapasua, and will be headlined by a heavyweight confrontation between chisled prospect Todd Duffee and “Ultimate Fighter 10” alum Abe Wagner. Sherdog.com confirmed the matchups with a source close to the promotion on Tuesday. The event is scheduled to air live on HDNet.

Downing is a two-time Bellator Fighting Championships veteran and is undefeated as a professional at 4-0. The Team Hard Drive product earned wins over Chad Vandenberg and Danny Tims at Bellator 22 and 32, respectively.
McFedries has not competed since a September 2009 submission defeat to Tomasz Drwal at UFC 103. While the 32-year-old Iowan is just 1-3 in his last four contests, McFedries holds notable victories over Marvin Eastman and Alessio Sakara.
A Missouri-based fighter, Tapasua began his career in November 2009, dropping a split decision to Daryl Cobb at Strikeforce Challengers 5. As of late, Tapasua has been on a roll, knocking out two opponents on consecutive weekends in October. The middleweight earned a KO over Jesse Beck on Oct. 15 and followed it with an Oct. 22 knockout of Ken Jackson.
