MMAjunkie.com confirmed the new light heavyweight booking following an initial report from South African MMA writer Julian Kiewietz.

Townsend is 18-7 as a pro and is riding a four-fight winning streak, with his last win coming on Feb. 17. The 33-year-old has been fighting professionally since 2012 on the regional scene and now gets the call to the Las Vegas-based promotion.

Lungiambula, meanwhile, will also make his UFC debut on Saturday. “Champion” is 9-1 as a pro and is riding a five-fight winning streak. The South African native has only fought in Extreme Fighting Championships promotion.

UFC Minneapolis goes down on June 29 from the Target Center and is headlined by a heavyweight clash between Francis Ngannou and Junior dos Santos.
