Devonte Smith Receives Third Different Opponent Just Days Before UFC 241
Devonte
Smith has had a tough time getting an opponent for UFC 241.
Originally, he was set to face John Makdessi, but the Canadian got hurt and Clay Collard stepped in on short notice. However, just days away from the event Collard has forced to withdraw from the card “due to health issues,” according to a statement from the promotion . Now, Khama Worthy will make his promotional debut against Smith.
Worthy last fought in April of this year, when he beat Joey Munoz
by decision on the regional circuit. The 32-year-old is 12-6 as a
pro with seven wins by knockout. He is currently riding a
three-fight winning streak.
Smith will be looking to extend his winning streak to six and improve to 3-0 inside the Octagon. “King Kage” is coming off of a first round TKO win over Dong Hyun Ma and before that beat Julian Erosa by knockout in the first round.
UFC 241 goes down Saturday in Anaheim, Calif., and airs live on pay-per-view via ESPN+.
