Dong Hyun Kim Withdraws from UFC 202 Clash Against Neil Magny



An injury has forced Dong Hyun Kim to withdraw from a proposed matchup with Neil Magny at UFC 202.

MMAjunkie.com first reported the news. The Las Vegas-based promotion is in the process of seeking a replacement opponent for Magny. Further details regarding Kim’s ailment are currently unknown. UFC 202 takes place on Aug. 20 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.

Kim, 34, has won six of his last seven Octagon appearances. He last appeared at UFC Fight NIght 79 in Seoul, South Korea, where he scored a first-round technical knockout victory against Dominic Waters on Nov. 28.

After dropping two of his first three UFC bouts, Magny has won 10 of his last 11 fights, with his only defeat coming at the hands of Demian Maia at UFC 190. Since then, the Grudge Training Center representative has garnered successive triumphs over Erick Silva, Kelvin Gastelum and Hector Lombard.
