Drakkar Klose Explains Transition in Camps from MMA Lab to Fight Ready

Drakkar Klose was originally set to fight Beneil Dariush at UFC Sacramento this Saturday. However, reports came out last night that Dariush was out of the fight due to an injury. Now, the 31-year-old is waiting to see who he will fight, or if he even will.

It was obviously disappointing news for Klose given the fact he hasn’t fought since December and was looking to return much sooner. Add in the fact that he changed camps from MMA Lab to Fight Ready, Klose wanted to show how much better he has gotten.

“I am training at Fight Ready in Arizona where guys like Henry Cejudo and Bobby Moffett train there. It is all new to be training there,” Klose said to Sherdog.com. “They have great coaches there which is why I made the move. The competition is getting better so having those coaches who pay attention to the small details will be huge. But, I have only been here for a month so at first, it was rough. Now, I click with all the coaches so it wasn’t too bad to change champs midway through the camp, and I plan on staying here as long as I am fighting.”

Now that he is with a new camp, Klose has already seen how much better his technique has gotten. Come Saturday night should get a fight, he expects to get his hand raised regardless of who the opponent is. For him, getting another win in a stacked lightweight division is a must.

“Winning is everything. I like cashing two checks and that is the only thing that matters,” he said. “So getting up to the rankings you need to string together a winning streak so getting a win here is crucial.”
