Three-time former NCAA national champion wrestler Ed Ruth will face Yaroslav Amosov in the Bellator 239 main event in Thackerville, Okla., on Feb. 21.

Promotion officials announced the welterweight headliner on Monday. Bellator 239 takes place at Winstar World Casino and will also see UFC veteran Myles Jury take on Brandon Girtz in the evening’s co-headliner. The evening’s main card will air on Paramount Network and Dazn at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

Ruth, 29, has won eight of his nine professional appearances, all of which have come under the Bellator MMA banner. After being submitted by Neiman Gracie in the promotion’s welterweight grand prix in December 2018, Ruth bounced back to earn triumphs over Kiichi Kunimoto and Jason Jackson in 2019. Ruth has finished six of his wins by knockout or technical knockout and two via decision.

A native of Kiev, Ukraine, Amosov has compiled a 22-0 record since beginning his professional career in 2012. The 26-year-old has kicked off his Bellator MMA tenure with successive triumphs over Gerald Harris, Erick Silva and David Rickels. He has finished 18 of his 22 triumphs by KO, TKO or submission.

Following a 12-bout stint in the UFC, Jury dropped a decision to Benson Henderson in his promotional debut at Bellator 227. That makes three straight defeats for “The Ultimate Fighter 15” veteran, who began his professional career with 15 consecutive wins.

Girtz has established a reputation as a reliable action fighter during his 14-bout tenure with the California-based organization. The 34-year-old Minnesotan was victorious in his lone appearance of 2019, taking a unanimous verdict against Saad Awad at Bellator 219.
