Edmen Shahbazyan is just 21 years old but is already 2-0 in the UFC and regarded as one of the top prospects in MMA.

At UFC 239, Shahbazyan is looking to improve his stock even more as he takes on Jack Marshman, who the prospect believes is on the fringe of the top 15. It will no doubt be his toughest fight to date, but the Californian is confident he can leave Las Vegas with another win to improve his professional mark to 10-0.

“I plan on dominating every aspect of the fight, wherever it goes. I’m coming into dominate him, he is a veteran,” Shahbazyan said to Sherdog.com. “It doesn’t matter about his experience, I’m coming into do my job and destroy him. Come fight night it is going to be fireworks.”

Although he says he will dominate Marshman, he understands “The Hammer” has knockout power. The Welsh fighter has 13 wins byTKO/KO, but Shahbazyan says every fighter in the UFC has power.

“Everybody in MMA has power and is easy to get hurt, especially with the small gloves. You need to be aware of everything, and have good defense and counter well,” he explained. “His power is not something I worry about, I’m aware of it, but not worried as every fighter can knock anybody out.”

Edmen Shahbazyan has dreams of being the youngest UFC champion and with a win over Marshman, he believes he will earn a shot at a ranked opponent for his next Octagon appearance.
