Eric Kelly, Honorio Banario Cleared for Featherweight Title Headliner at One FC 7

Eric Kelly and Honorio Banario will square off for the One Fighting Championship featherweight title on Saturday at Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as both men hit their marks at Friday’s pre-fight weigh-ins.

Kelly tipped the scales at 144.5 pounds, while Banario came in slightly heavier at 144.8. All fighters, save for one, made their contracted weights on Friday. Undercard competitor Saiful Merican stepped on the scale at 129.8 pounds and could not make the flyweight limit for his bout against Gianni Subba (123.6), which will now be contested at a catch-weight. The evening’s eight-fight main draw streams live on pay-per-view at www.onefc.livesport.tv for a charge of $9.99. Immediately prior, the free, two-bout preliminary card streams on Sherdog.com at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.

Subtitled ”Return of Warriors,” the event will also see unbeaten Filipino talent Rey Docyogen (124.3) lock horns with former Shooto 123-pound champion Shinichi “BJ” Kojima (124.5) in a flyweight co-headliner. Additionally, the main draw will feature a pair of lightweight contests pitting Vuyisile Colossa (153.1) against Lowen Tynanes (153.3) and Leo Krishna (154.2) against Peter Davis (154.7), as well as a welterweight showdown featuring Zuli Silawanto (169.6) and Adam Shahir Kayoom (168.5).

In addition to Subba’s catchweight bout with Merican, Sherdog.com’s live undercard stream will also showcase a light heavyweight pairing between former Princeton University wrestler and MMA debutant Jake Butler (204.1) and one-fight pro Antoni Romulo (204).
