A female featherweight clash pitting Leah McCourt against Judith Ruis has been added to the Bellator Dublin main draw.
Promotion officials revealed the pairing on Tuesday. Bellator Dublin takes place at 3Arena on Feb. 22 and is headlined by a bantamweight tilt between James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor. Four other 145-pound contests were also announced for the preliminary card: Dylan Logan vs. Tom Mearns, Ciaran Clarke vs. Jamie Faulding, Ilias Bulaid vs. Diego Freitas and Asael Adjoudj vs. Constantin Blanita.
Northern Ireland’s McCourt recently signed an exclusive six-fight contract with Bellator. The former Cage Warriors competitor has kicked off her promotional tenure with a first-round TKO of Hatice Ozyurt at Bellator 217 and a first-round submission of Kerry Hughes at Bellator 227.
A native of Germany, the 34-year-old Ruis will make her debut with the California-based organization with a 6-4 career mark. Ruis enters the matchup on a two-bout winning streak and has finished five of her six career triumphs inside the distance.
