The promotion announced the matchup on Wednesday. Bellator 205 takes place at CenturyLink Arena and will also see Rafael Lovato Jr. face John Salter at middleweight in the evening’s co-main event. According to a release, Lovato Jr. vs. Salter “could determine the next Bellator middleweight world title challenger.”

Bellator 205 will be televised on the Paramount Network at 9 p.m./8 p.m. CT, with preliminary bouts streaming immediately prior on Bellator.com and the Bellator Mobile App.

Curran, who has twice held the promotion’s featherweight crown, enters the matchup with McKee on a three-fight winning streak. Most recently, “Paddy Mike” took a unanimous decision over John Teixeira da Conceicao at Bellator 184 this past October.

The 23-year-old McKee is unbeaten in his first 11 professional appearances, all of which have occurred under the Bellator MMA banner. The Team Bodyshop representative earned his most significant victory to date at Bellator 197, as he outpointed UFC veteran Justin Lawrence on April 13.

A decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, Lovato Jr. is 8-0 in MMA and is coming off a first-round submission of Gerald Harris at Bellator 198. Salter, meanwhile, is currently riding the momentum of a seven-fight winning streak that includes five triumphs within the Scott Coker-led promotion.
